Oh yeah! Funny, 'cause I learned to rollerskate only about eight years ago in used skates like that. I later graduated to rollerblades. Still, there was something about those old school skates that you don't get with the blades--both are very different but I don't think either are better. Anyhow, great gift--hope you ejoy!
